Jakarta, Sept. 16 -- Home Affairs Minister and Head of the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) Tito Karnavian has encouraged the development of border areas through trade and cultural cooperation that benefits people in Indonesia and neighboring countries.

Speaking after the Indonesia Border Partnership Coffee Morning at the BNPP Office in Jakarta on Wednesday, Tito said cooperation in border areas should be strengthened by taking into account the interests of communities in both countries.

"We want to develop relations between Indonesia, particularly in border areas, for the common benefit of communities in both countries," he said.
