Indonesia seeks rice export agreements with Malaysia, Singapore
Jakarta, July 13 -- The State Logistics Agency (Bulog) is pushing for rice export agreements with Malaysia and Singapore by pursuing price certainty and ensuring trade cooperation that benefits farmers, the country, and national export sustainability.
Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said his office will follow up on the direction of the National Food Agency head and Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman to pursue rice export opportunities to the two countries through further technical discussions.
"We will immediately follow up on the Minister of Agriculture's order to pursue the initiative in Malaysia and Singapore to follow up on price certainty and other matters," Ramdhani noted on Monday.
