Jakarta, Sept. 16 -- Indonesia's Home Affairs Minister and National Border Management Agency (BNPP) Head Tito Karnavian urged neighboring countries to resolve border issues through peaceful and friendly communication.

"If there are problems or issues concerning borders, do not hesitate to contact me so we can resolve them peacefully and amicably," Tito told reporters after meeting neighboring countries' representatives in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Tito also invited the 10 countries sharing borders with Indonesia to hold regular meetings to discuss emerging border-related problems and issues.

They are Timor-Leste, Australia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Vietnam, India, and Palau.
