Jakarta, Feb. 23 -- The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries has expanded Indonesian fishery export access through agreements with authorities in Turkiye and China, securing export approval numbers for 57 fish processing units.

"After the issuance of the approval numbers, the 57 fishery businesses can export fish and other fishery products to Turkiye and China," Head of the Agency for Quality Control and Supervision of Marine and Fishery Products, Ishartini, said in an official release in Jakarta on Monday.

She explained that proposing fish processing units is more than just submitting a list; it involves technical verification and completing questionnaires that meet the specific requirements of Turkish and Chinese authorities.
