Indonesia secures $198M in potential seafood deals at Tokyo expo
Jakarta, Sept. 8 -- Indonesian seafood exporters secured a potential $198.33 million (3.49 trillion rupiah) in deals at the 28th Japan International Seafood & Technology Expo (JISTE) in Tokyo.
Trade officials said Tuesday that the transactions signal strong demand for the country's marine products in the Japanese market.
The bulk of buyer interest centered on tuna and processed tuna products, followed by octopus, squid, swimming crab, sea urchin, and processed anchovies, according to business-matching results from the event.
