Jakarta, Sept. 27 -- Indonesia considers reform of the United Nations an increasingly urgent agenda amid evolving global dynamics in the 21st century, according to Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono.

Speaking at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Saturday, Sept. 26, he noted that the UN "remains indispensable" in sustaining and supporting the multilateral system.

"Indonesia continues to believe in the United Nations, but believing in the United Nations also means believing that it must evolve with the world it serves," Sugiono said.
