Jakarta, June 12 -- Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza said the depreciation of the rupiah and volatility in the capital market have not significantly affected the textile and textile products (TPT) industry.

"There have been concerns that the rise in foreign exchange rates and the weakening rupiah are hurting the industry. However, some sectors are actually benefiting from the current situation," he noted in a statement on Thursday (June 11).

Riza visited PT Gajah Angkasa Perkasa in Bandung to review the operations of the textile manufacturer and assess the condition of the industry amid concerns over the weakening rupiah and capital market volatility.
