Indonesia's Rp5M e-motorcycle incentive awaits finance regulation
Jakarta, Aug. 17 -- Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said on Monday that a planned Rp5 million (around US$280) incentive for electric motorcycles is awaiting the issuance of a Finance Ministry regulation before it can be implemented.
Agus said the Industry Ministry was ready to implement the program but could not proceed until the regulation, known as a Finance Ministry Regulation (PMK), was issued.
"We are waiting for the PMK," Agus told reporters at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Monday.
He said the timing of the program depended entirely on the Finance Ministry and that he could not set a target for its implementation. However, Agus said his ministry was technically ready.
