Jakarta, Sept. 12 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was welcomed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon arriving at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, India, on Saturday to attend the 18th BRICS Summit.

According to a livestream on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, Prabowo, dressed in a black suit, arrived at around 2:30 p.m. local time.

The two leaders shook hands and embraced before standing side by side for a photo session in front of the cameras.

The 18th BRICS Summit is being held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 12-13, 2026. Under India's presidency, the summit carries the theme "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability."
