Jakarta, May 9 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto concluded his agenda at the 48th ASEAN Summit by joining fellow Southeast Asian leaders in strengthening collective efforts to address global challenges, particularly food and energy security.
Foreign Minister Sugiono said in a press statement on Saturday that ASEAN leaders focused on collective responses to global geopolitical challenges, particularly the conflict in the Middle East.
He said ASEAN leaders recognized that tensions in the Middle East had directly affected countries in the region, particularly in the food and energy sectors.
