Kuala Lumpur, Oct. 9 -- Indonesia's future capital Nusantara in East Kalimantan is scheduled to host the 3rd Borneo Economic Forum in 2027, aiming to boost cross-border economic ties and business partnerships across Borneo.

The announcement was made during the Gala Dinner of the 2nd Borneo Economic Forum 2026 in Kuching, Sarawak, on Wednesday (October 7) through a ceremonial baton handover from Co-Chair of the Borneo Economic Community (BEC) Arsjad Rasjid to Head of Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono.
