Jakarta, May 22 -- Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said industry associations had welcomed the establishment of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI) as a state-owned enterprise (SOE) dedicated to natural resource exports.

"The responses have been positive. Associations understand our move and are preparing for implementation," he told the press at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Friday.

While supporting the policy, industry actors urged the government to ensure transparency in the structure of the export company, which will operate under Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund Danantara.

"What they are asking for are transparency and clarity regarding the SOE," Hartarto said.
