Indonesia's KPK reviews needs after Prabowo anti-graft push
Jakarta, June 5 -- Indonesia's anti-graft agency (KPK) said it would assess its institutional needs after President Prabowo Subianto called for stronger oversight bodies and law enforcement agencies to combat misuse of state funds.
"We will identify what is needed, whether human resources, budget, operational financing or other support. This requires further discussion," KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said on Thursday.
Setyo said the commission would discuss the matter internally by involving all deputy divisions within the agency.
The KPK viewed the president's remarks as evidence of support and commitment toward anti-corruption efforts in Indonesia.
