Jakarta, March 19 -- The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) plans to question Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto over the alleged involvement of military personnel in an acid attack on activist Andrie Yunus on March 12.
Komnas HAM Chairperson Anis Hidayah said in a statement on Thursday that the commission will soon summon the TNI commander to seek clarification on the case.
She said discrepancies in suspect initials disclosed by the TNI and the National Police (Polri) need further clarification.
"We deem it necessary for TNI to clarify the initials BHC and BHW, which Polri say refer to the same person using different initials," she said.
