Jakarta, April 6 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) has moved to clarify confusion surrounding the use of Indonesia Game Rating System (IGRS) labels on titles sold via the Steam platform.
It stressed that several ratings currently visible online have not been verified by the government.
The ministry's Director of Digital Ecosystem Development Sonny Hendra Sudaryana stated that the classifications circulating on Steam are based on a self-declaration mechanism by publishers rather than official IGRS verification, which is overseen by the ministry.
