Jakarta, Sept. 1 -- Indonesia welcomed 1.52 million international tourists in July, up 9.99 percent from June and 2.95 percent from a year earlier, with Malaysians accounting for the largest share, Indonesia Statistics (BPS) said.

International arrivals through Indonesia's main entry points totaled 1,362,812, while another 162,225 entered through border crossings, BPS Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics Ateng Hartono said Tuesday.

Indonesia recorded 8.98 million international tourist arrivals in the first seven months of 2026, up 5.23 percent from a year earlier and the highest since 2020, Hartono said.
