Indonesia's Golden Visa helps global talents to support economy: govt
Jakarta, May 21 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Immigration and Corrections stated that Indonesia's Golden Visa serves as a solution for global talents and the diaspora seeking to contribute to the country's economy but facing immigration hurdles.
The ministry's Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, said here on Thursday that the Golden Visa, launched in 2024, is issued under a selective policy, thereby necessitating its applicants to meet several requirements.
For the global talent category (with a 5 to 10-year stay), Golden Visa applicants must meet specific academic or professional criteria, hold a passport valid for at least six months, and provide proof of living expenses or a security deposit.
