Indonesia's free health checks reach 82 million participants
Tangerang, Banten, Aug. 20 -- Deputy Minister of Health Benjamin Paulus Octavianus said the government's Free Health Check (CKG) program had reached around 82 million participants, with findings dominated by non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes and hypertension.
"As of today, the figure has reached 81.4 million. With an estimated 600,000 people added today, that brings the total to 82 million, as at least 600,000 people undergo free health checks across Indonesia every day," he said in Tangerang District, Banten, on Thursday.
According to Benjamin, the government aims to reach 130 million people through the screening program throughout 2026, covering roughly 46 percent of the country's total population.
