Jakarta, May 16 -- President Prabowo Subianto ensured that Indonesia is in a safe condition amid uncertain global developments, as national food and energy resilience is considered to be well maintained.

"Food is safe, energy is safe. Many countries are panicking, Indonesia is still okay," Prabowo said in Nganjuk, East Java, on Saturday.

Prabowo noted that there are still parties who continue to express concerns that Indonesia will face collapse and chaos, including regarding the rupiah's weakening rate against the United States dollar.

However, he said that people in villages do not rely on the US dollar in their daily lives.

He assessed that national food and energy resilience remains secure amid the current global situation.
