Indonesia's first-half exports rise 4.13 percent to US$140.81 billion
Jakarta, Aug. 3 -- Indonesia's exports rose 4.13 percent in the first half of 2026 to US$140.81 billion from a year earlier, while imports climbed 18.69 percent, narrowing the trade surplus, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) said Monday.
"During January-June 2026, Indonesia's export value reached US$140.81 billion, a 4.13 percent increase from the same period in 2025," BPS Deputy Ateng Hartono said.
The manufacturing sector was the biggest contributor to export growth, accounting for 6.18 percent, Hartono said.
Exports of major non-oil and gas commodities also increased, including crude palm oil and derivatives, with a 9.12 percent share, and coal, with an 8.95 percent share.
