Jakarta, March 20 -- Indonesia's National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has introduced Regulation No. 1/2026, setting new standards for the handling of food leftovers, waste, and domestic wastewater in the government's Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program.
The rules apply to all Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) operating under the scheme.
BGN Head Dadan Hindayana said the regulation represents a crucial step in ensuring that the program delivers not only nutritional benefits but also safeguards public health and environmental sustainability.
