Jakarta, Oct. 30 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency (Baznas) reaffirmed its commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians by dispatching 4,520 food packages in five trucks from Ismailia, Egypt, on Thursday (October 29).

"We are sending around 25 types of food commodities tailored to the recipients' tastes," Baznas Head Sodik Mudjahid said in a statement received in Jakarta on Friday.

He said the food supplies had been collected through donations from Indonesians to help meet the basic needs of Palestinians amid the prolonged humanitarian crisis.

According to Mudjahid, the five truckloads of aid contain various food items, including pasta, dates, cheese, tea, sugar, flour, beans, nuts, cooking oil, and yeast.
