Jakarta, March 4 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency (Baznas) has distributed 100,000 liters of clean water to 2,500 residents in the Al Jalaa region of Gaza, providing urgent relief amid prolonged conflict and during the holy month of Ramadan.

Baznas Head Noor Achmad said Wednesday that the aid was funded by donations from the Indonesian public and delivered to help meet critical water needs in the Palestinian enclave.

"Clean water is a vital necessity that cannot be delayed, especially under emergency conditions caused by prolonged conflict and during Ramadan," Achmad said in a statement issued in Jakarta, on Wednesday.
