Jakarta, March 1 -- Indonesia's National Alms Agency (Baznas) and the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) have launched a strategic partnership to manage Islamic philanthropic funds and enhance services related to halal certification.
"This collaboration marks a milestone in optimizing alms collected from civil servants and government employees," Baznas head Noor Achmad said in Jakarta on Sunday.
He confirmed that BPJPH will integrate its Islamic fund collection system with Baznas, praising the agency's commitment to serving the Muslim community beyond halal product assurance.
Achmad highlighted a dedicated zakat unit at the BPJPH office, an initiative expected to simplify employees' payment of obligatory alms.
