Jakarta, Sept. 26 -- Rahmat Erwin Abdullah won the gold medal in the men's 75-kilogram weightlifting event at the 2026 Asian Games, posting a total lift of 366 kilograms at the Nagoya City Trade and Industry Center, Japan, on Saturday.

In a tightly contested competition, Abdullah recorded a best snatch lift of 160 kilograms and a clean and jerk of 206 kilograms for a combined total of 366 kilograms.

The silver medal went to Thai lifter Weeraphon Wichuma, who posted a total lift of 365 kilograms, from a 160-kilogram snatch and a 205-kilogram clean and jerk.

The bronze medal was won by North Korean lifter Ri Chong Song, who recorded a total lift of 357 kilograms, comprising a 162-kilogram snatch and a 195-kilogram clean and jerk.
