Indonesia's, Pakistan navies seek stronger defense cooperation
Jakarta, June 27 -- Indonesia's Navy and the Pakistan Navy agreed to deepen military cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties during talks in Surabaya, focusing on maritime security and defense collaboration amid evolving strategic challenges in regional waters.
The initiative followed a courtesy visit by a Pakistan Navy delegation led by Commodore Anwar Saeed, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff, to Fleet Command II Commander Rear Admiral I G. P. Alit Jaya at the Nala VIP Building in Surabaya, East Java, on June 25.
Fleet Command II Information Chief Colonel Antonius Februar Prima Hadi confirmed the meeting on Friday after being contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta.
