Indonesia restores Papua air link after fatal plane attack
Jakarta, July 19 -- Indonesian troops and local residents have cleared the wreckage of a mission aircraft destroyed in a deadly attack by armed separatists in Papua Highlands, as authorities worked to restore the region's only air link, a senior military commander said.
Members of an Indonesian military task force, joined by residents, religious leaders and traditional community leaders from Balinggama Village, removed the wreckage of the Pilatus aircraft, registration PK-RCY, operated by PT Associated Mission Aviation (AMA).
