Jakarta, March 30 -- The Ministry of Health reported that in the 12th week of 2026, measles cases declined to 146, down from around 368 cases in the 11th week, marking a decrease of about 93 percent compared to the first week of 2026.

"And if we look at the first week of 2026, the number of cases was 2,220. Comparing the first week to the 12th week, we can see a decrease of approximately 93 percent," the ministry's Acting Director General of Disease Control Andi Saguni said here on Monday.

He pointed out that there were 14 provinces with high case numbers in 2025-2026, including North Sumatra, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java. Several provinces, such as North Sumatra and West Sumatra, have now recorded zero cas...
