Jakarta, Aug. 5 -- Indonesia remains a safe destination for foreign investment, supported by its long-standing non-aligned foreign policy that welcomes capital from all countries, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry adviser Hashim Djojohadikusumo said.

Hashim said Indonesia's commitment to a non-aligned, independent foreign policy allows the country to remain open to investment from partners across competing geopolitical blocs.

"We have adhered to what we call a non-aligned policy. In other words, we are a completely neutral country," Hashim said at the Indonesia-Thailand Business Forum in Jakarta on Tuesday.
