Indonesia readies Rp300 trillion for micro enterprise financing
Yogyakarta, July 18 -- Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Helvi Yuni Moraza said the government has allocated Rp300 trillion (around US$16.7 billion) to provide easy financing for micro-entrepreneurs.
Speaking after the launch of Kumitra (Business Ease through Partnership) programme in Yogyakarta on Friday, Helvi highlighted President Prabowo Subianto's strong commitment to supporting MSMEs, particularly by streamlining access to capital.
"This is a government-designed initiative. Specifically for financing, we have set aside approximately Rp300 trillion to facilitate MSME funding through the People's Business Credit (KUR) scheme," he said.
