Jakarta, March 25 -- Indonesian Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said the government has devised several strategies to anticipate a road traffic surge during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr return flow, expected on March 24, 25, 28, and 29.

While reviewing traffic and transport services at Pulo Gebang Integrated Bus Terminal in East Jakarta early Wednesday, he noted that authorities are prepared to reactivate a national one-way scheme along toll roads to ensure a smooth return flow toward Jakarta and its surroundings.

"We may implement a national one-way arrangement to ease traffic for residents joining the return flow, making sure they arrive at their destinations safely," Purwagandhi remarked.
