Jakarta, Oct. 7 -- The Health Ministry is drafting regulations to establish an independent national plasma ecosystem to strengthen health resilience, though officials noted three key challenges must be addressed.

Aswardi, Head of the Ministry's Working Group on Blood and Immunological Disorders, stated in Jakarta on Wednesday that limited resources, public donor readiness, and cross-sector coordination remain the main hurdles to securing plasma-derived medicinal products (PDMPs).

"The implementation of PDMPs depends on the public being ready and willing to play an active role in donation," Aswardi said.
