Jakarta, May 23 -- President Prabowo Subianto believes Indonesia has a major opportunity to become one of the world's leading shrimp producers, supported by the country's vast aquaculture potential across several regions, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said.

In an official social media post cited in Jakarta, Teddy said President Prabowo on Saturday attended a shrimp harvest and reviewed post-harvest sorting activities at the Area-Based Shrimp Farming (BUBK) facility in Kebumen.

"At the shrimp farming site, which spans around 100 hectares, President Prabowo directly observed the harvesting process for vannamei shrimp as well as the sorting of the harvest before distribution to the market," Teddy said.
