Indonesia prioritizes maternal, child health to reduce mortality
Jakarta, Aug. 6 -- National Development Planning Ministry (Bappenas) Secretary Teni Widuriyanti said improving maternal and child health remains one of Indonesia's national priorities.
"Improving maternal and child health is a national priority under the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN)," she said at the launch of the 2026-2030 National Framework for Reducing Maternal and Child Mortality, according to an official statement received here on Thursday.
She explained that investing in maternal and child health contributes to improving the quality of human resources, as reflected in the Human Capital Index, which measures the potential contribution of human resources to economic growth.
