Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- The Indonesian government is preparing several new economic growth engines to achieve its national target of 8 percent economic growth by boosting production capacity, investment, and strategic policies.

"The government continues to ensure the momentum of national economic growth is maintained by strengthening economic fundamentals and accelerating priority policies," Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs spokesperson Haryo Limanseto stated on Wednesday.

"These steps aim to increase production capacity, strengthen investment, and create new sources of growth," he added.
