Badung, Bali, Oct. 29 -- The Indonesian government is preparing Bali to become the site for the second stage of financial center development after Jakarta, as part of efforts to boost Indonesia's appeal for financial sector activities amid global uncertainty.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conveyed the plan during the International Forum for Government Credit Programs in Badung District, Bali, on Thursday.

Airlangga said the government has discussed Bali's potential with state-owned enterprises (SOEs), adding that regulatory aspects for developing the financial center have been addressed and are currently being finalized.
