Indonesia posts US$3.70 billion trade surplus in January-July 2026
Jakarta, Sept. 1 -- Indonesia recorded a US$3.70 billion surplus in its goods trade balance during the January-July 2026 period, according to Statistics Indonesia (BPS).
The BPS's Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics Ateng Hartono said in Jakarta on Tuesday that cumulative exports during the period reached US$167.03 billion, up 4.43 percent year on year from US$159.95 billion in the same period last year.
By sector, the manufacturing industry accounted for the largest share of cumulative exports at US$137.26 billion, followed by mining and other sectors at US$19.60 billion, and agriculture, forestry and fisheries at US$3.15 billion.
