Jakarta, Feb. 24 -- The National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) said it will prepare vehicle inspection check points during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming travel period to ensure passenger safety.

Chief of Korlantas, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, during a visit to a vehicle inspection check point at KM 81 of the Cikampek-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road in West Java, said inspections will focus on buses and travel vehicles.

"The first priority is passenger buses and travel vehicles because they carry many people. Vehicles must be roadworthy, drivers must be healthy, and administrative documents must be complete," he said in a statement here on Tuesday.
