Indonesia plans 575-km Giant Sea Wall to protect economy: AHY
Jakarta, May 20 -- Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) stated that the construction of the Giant Sea Wall at Java North Coast aims to protect the economy of the people.
"This is not just a sea wall. It is about protecting the future economy of our country and our people," AHY said in his statement on Tuesday (May 19).
The Indonesian government is currently accelerating the development of adaptive infrastructure, including the Giant Sea Wall project, which is among the national strategic priorities during President Prabowo Subianto administration.
