Jakarta, June 23 -- Indonesia's Health Ministry has partnered with The Lancet, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals, to develop an evidence-based strategy to overhaul the country's healthcare system by 2045.

The collaboration launched on Tuesday with the establishment of The Lancet Regional Health - Western Pacific Commission on Reimagining Healthcare in Indonesia for 2045.

The initiative brings together domestic and international experts to draft policy recommendations as Southeast Asia's largest economy approaches its independence centennial.
