Jakarta, April 17 -- Deputy Minister of Environment Diaz Hendropriyono invited carbon project developers to take part in trials of Indonesia's newly devised Carbon Unit Registry System (SRUK), set for launch in the near term.
"SRUK is targeted to begin operations in July, as directed by the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs. Hence, project developers that have readied project design documents can now conduct a trial by submitting data into the registry," he said.
Hendropriyono described the trial as vital to expedite the opening of Indonesia's carbon trading during the Indonesia Carbon Market Outlook 2026 event in Jakarta on Thursday (April 16), according to a statement received on Friday.
