Jakarta, Aug. 5 -- Indonesia's Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) will open registration for the "SMK Go Global" program on August 12, targeting the overseas placement of 40 thousand skilled young workers by the end of 2026.

The vocational initiative is aimed at providing talented Indonesians who possess specific technical skills with opportunities to work abroad. SMK ( Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan ) refers to Indonesia's vocational high school system.
