Indonesia offers up to 50 percent discounts to boost holiday spending
Jakarta, June 25 -- The Ministry of Tourism is collaborating with the Ministry of Trade, the Indonesian Retail and Tenant Association (HIPPINDO), and the Indonesian Shopping Center Association (APPBI) to boost domestic consumption and tourist trips.
Under the collaboration, the ministry has launched the BINA (Shopping in Indonesia Movement) Holiday & Back to School 2026 program, which offers up to 50 percent discounts to the public throughout the school break.
Tourism Ministry Spokesperson Nia Niscaya explained in a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday that the program is part of the ministry's "Liburan Cara Baru #DiIndonesiaAja" campaign.
