Jakarta, July 3 -- The government renewed its commitment to bolstering electricity system reliability to prevent recurrence of recent outages in Java and Bali, emphasizing action on primary energy, power plants, and energy transition.

Head of the Government Communications Agency (Bakom) Muhammad Qodari noted that the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry had ordered the State Electricity Company (PLN) to ensure adequate primary energy supplies, strengthen supply chains, improve operational readiness, and accelerate maintenance of key generators.

He also underscored the importance of stakeholders strengthening coordination to secure stable electricity supplies, according to a statement received in Jakarta on Friday.
