Indonesia maps 3 strategies to achieve full electrification by 2029
Jakarta, July 3 -- The government has formulated three primary strategies to expand electricity access across remote villages, in a bid to push the national electrification ratio toward 100 percent by 2029.
The target aligns with Presidential Regulation Number 117 of 2025 concerning the 2026 Government Work Plan, according to Head of the Government Communications Agency, Muhammad Qodari.
"The strategy to achieve this is carried out through three approaches," Qodari stated here on Thursday (July 2).
The first approach focuses on extending the existing power grid operated by state-owned electricity company PT PLN (Persero) to nearby communities that remain without electricity access.
