Semarang, March 26 -- The Indonesian National Police (Polri) officially concluded Operation Ketupat 2026, the annual mission managing Eid al-Fitr homecoming traffic, which this year recorded the highest vehicle volume in history for a single peak period.
"Tonight (Wednesday, March 25), at 0 a.m., we officially closed Operation Ketupat, as instructed by Polri Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo," Chief of the Polri Traffic Corps (Korlantas) Inspector Gen. Agus Suryonugroho remarked in Semarang, Central Java.
Speaking early Thursday, he pointed out that Indonesia recorded 270,315 vehicles during the peak of the homecoming flow, the highest number ever registered.
