Indonesia launches Safe Migrants Movement to protect workers
Jakarta, May 18 -- The Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI), together with the Presidential Staff Office and the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, has launched the National Movement for Safe Migrants as part of efforts to strengthen protection for Indonesian migrant workers abroad.
Through the initiative, the government aims to address various issues faced by Indonesian migrant workers, ranging from non-procedural placement and fraud to human trafficking cases during overseas employment.
