Indonesia keeps door open to mediate US-Iran conflict
Jakarta, June 11 -- Indonesia's offer to mediate between the United States and Iran remains open following renewed hostilities in the Persian Gulf, Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir said on Thursday.
"The offer is always open, but of course, this requires agreement from all parties," he told reporters after a hearing with the House of Representatives' Commission I in Jakarta.
According to him, the offer reflects President Prabowo Subianto's commitment to helping end the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, which have had significant impacts on global stability.
"This is President Prabowo's goodwill, as he has always stated his readiness to provide his good offices," Arrmanatha remarked.
