Jakarta, July 18 -- Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto invited two Chinese technology companies, Huawei and ByteDance, to strengthen cooperation in the digital sector by leveraging their expertise to support Indonesia's digital transformation.

In a press release received on Saturday, Airlangga said that Huawei possesses world-class capabilities in telecommunications infrastructure, cloud computing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

"Meanwhile, ByteDance is a tech giant that has developed some of the world's most popular digital platforms, including TikTok, CapCut, Lark, Toutiao, and Douyin," he added.
