Jakarta, April 22 -- Indonesia is in "survival mode" amid global uncertainty, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said on Wednesday.
During a symposium in Jakarta, he said President Prabowo Subianto views the current situation as requiring the country to optimize all resources to sustain maximum economic growth, rather than adopting a business-as-usual approach.
"I want to be clear, in the President's mind, we are now in survival mode, so it is not business as usual," Purbaya said.
To help maintain the target of 8 percent economic growth, the government has established various task forces to secure state revenues and spending, as well as improve the business climate.
